Hi my name is Sara Tordi and I am a graduate student studying to become an SLP. This is a question for SLPs and people who stutter. I personally do not have a lot of experience working with people who stutter and I am currently taking my first stuttering course. Over the time of the course, we have had speakers talk about different supports they gave to their clients who stutter and support they received if they personally were a person who stuttered. I have found that listening to these different experiences has helped me gain a better understanding of how to create a supportive foundation for a potential client who stutters. Is there any specific supportive techniques that you found useful- either giving or receiving? If so, what specifically made that support effective?
